PSN down? I don't know what to believe?

I knew something had been going wrong. I'e had connection interruptions with BFBC2 for the last week now. Im running it wireless atm so i tried to see if it was my connection by trying with xbox but experienced no such problems. I've now come to understand that the PSN server is completely down. I've heard from several people a "group called anonymous is hacking" all the way to "its just crashed simply because of what's happening in Japan right now". Any one actually know what's happened? Thanks.
