I worked for a company in MD from 2007 until October 2010 at which time I decided to join the Army Reserves. I just returned from Basic Training and AIT This May and want to know if I am legally entitled to any Sick or Vacation days as if I had been working there from the start of 2011 onward. At my job if I had worked there without interruption because of Army training I would be entitled to 10 vacation days and 5 sick. How to deal with my horrible mother?

So my mother complains all the time that she does not have anyone to take care of her and pamper atleast one whole day (since my parents are divorced she gets very lonely). So I decided to cook for her and give her a break from the kitchen for today and start cooking. To be honest I hate the kitchen and I hate to cook but I somehow bring myself to do it. So I start...and since I dont cook too often I happen to take longer than what she would take to cook the same thing..Obviously. So just when I'm about done, she yells from the bedroom (where is is just lazing around) if I'm planning on providing her with breakfast or dinner because I'm taking so long! I'm like I'm done, here it is. She is so unhappy and starts eating and complaining about how long I took to make it and how I am so slow and how I still have to learn to do things right and how I'm incapable of providing her a happy breakfast etc...etc. At this point my blood is boiling....On top of making her breakfast and trying to do something nice, this ***** wants to complain on how I could not do it according to her standards! I just want to scream and say SCREW YOU *****, YOU DESERVE NOTHING! But instead I control my temper and tell her to stop nagging for which she explodes like a latent volcano and starts yelling at me and throwing stuff and acting like a psychotic poodle! I try to reason with her and tell her to calm down and she slaps me!!!!!!! At this point I lose my temper and start yelling too (I really wanted to slap her back but obviously I can't slap my mom). She tells me I'm a ***** and needs to be treated like one and she will make sure she will put me in my place blah blah...She says this was the reason my dad does not like me. WOW. I mean really?? Second in the last few months the President has played 17 rounds of golf (min 2.5 hrs) and held 33 fundraisers (lets say all time included 3hrs each) and then scolds Washington saying he has been there bc he met with each caucus for 1.5 hrs. Cat pooping everywhere but box?

I have two cats Baby and Roxie. Roxie has only been in our home for 4 months and is using the box just fine. How Do You Change Sleep?

Do you know about circadian rhythms? I've read all the books on sleep and talked to my doctor etc etc but I guess I just don't get this part. Maybe it is more a philosophical question. Here goes. I fall asleep happily about 10 or 11 at night. I've had a decent day with activities, exercise healthy food, no caffeine after 2 p.m. and so forth. Then about 3 in the morning I wake up happy and full of energy. I've kind of given in to it i.e. just start doing stuff and keeping busy. But it is kind of messing up my life because later I'm tired, want naps etc. I do have some other health issues but I've been over and over this with my doc and nothing there. By the way I am not interested in using pills for sleep. Does anybody else deal with this or have some innovative practical strategies? It doesn't feel like insomnia, it's more like interruption. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Any tips for making internet faster?

I have Qwest internet and I often play xbox live. I run a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware for wireless internet. When I play online, I usually have the worst connection in the lobby, and it becomes very annoying after awhile. Even when I try to watch Netflix on my 360 it can take 5 minutes to load a single TV show and has constant interruptions. It would be nice to know if there is anything I can do to affect the speed of my internet. Changing my ISP is out of the question since my dad pays for it and he could care less about how bad my connection on xbox live is.

My Grandma keeps finding potato's in her yard, how do they get there?

One day my grandma was out in the dinning room fixing the curtains and she noticed a potato on the ground. Where it was, was strange because nobody could get back there its covered in bushes. The potato's have holes in them like something was eating away at them we think its snails. VCR not working with WOW digital adapter?

We recently acquired a WOW digital adapter, as WOW has now fully turned digital and required that all its customers switch over. However, we hadn't used our VCR since we installed it. Typically, we have to change the channel to 3 on the TV, turn on the VCR, and it works, but all we get now is a blue screen and the channels saying we have an interruption in our service. We tried unplugging the stupid adapter to see if it would work, and no channels responded at all; everything was blue screens. How can we get it to work?

i'm 28 and I need a job, but have minimal experience. Profession: Costume Design or Elementary School Teacher?

I am having a hard time deciding which career path I should pursue. I got my BA in Theatre Arts but am considering going back to school for my Master's in Elementary Education for a more secure future and benefits. Costume design would allow me a lot more personal freedom and I really enjoy collaborating with other artists. However, I would probably start out sewing in a costume shop all day for minimum wage, which I have experience doing. Well, it is probably a reflection of what is happening in the home. The child is allowed to interrupt without being told that they must wait. Children must learn patience and manners at a young age, otherwise it will just get worse as they get older. I know that is a difficult situation to be in because you want to continue doing your job, but at the same time, the child is probably getting more of the parent's attention. I'd be tempted to tell the parent that you'll be glad to come back once they have assisted their child (and have your full attention).

Help with family pet troubles?

Okay, my sister has this bird that she bought on impulse. Its a parrotlet. I said that it was a bad idea and we don't need it but of course my parents didn't listen. Now, all it does is sit in a cage all day and chirp. She refuses to sell the bird, and we are moving to a smaller house where the birds peeping will be unbearable and inescapable. Cat problem, socialising a stray?

I found a stray 6 weeks ago. A neighbour called thinking she was my cat Ruby who went missing 4 months ago. It wasn't her but I took her in as she was covered in parasites and her long fur was falling out, she was thin as a rake and in agony. I have been doing my law finals revision for the last 2 months, so I have spent about 2 hours a day with Grace (the name I gave her) I think she benefitted from the peace quiet and routine and she has blossomed, been treated for the critters and is in my outhouse which is warm cozy, furniture just like another room in the house really. I didn't want an infestation in my home and more imprtantly my boy cat fatty, son of Ruby is in the house. Fatty is the softest and sweetest natured cat ever, he helped his mum look after her second litter of kittens and is an absolute angel with other cats, he is such a happy little thing and I din't want him to feel dominated in his own home. Grace is also a softie, with me....but I have been bringing fatty into the outhouse every morning for half an hour. First time, he went up to her carefully but excited to find a new friend (he is spayed by the way so I know she cant be in fear of that) He's very careful to not appear threatening to her, very cautious, doesnt make eye contact and turns his back slowly to her which I know is a sign of trust, and a signal they want peace. Thing is she gets really funny with him, low growls and miowing loudly, although she hasnt tried to go for him, she's really not the type, you can tell shes been mistreated because she freaks out about really odd things like when I picked up a chair to move it once. Not sure whether these morning introductions are doing more harm than good, fatty is very quiet when he gets back in the house and just gives me this sad look. I really wanted to give her a home but I can't bring her in the house and I can't keep her in the outhouse forever she needs the kind of tender loving care I am giving her but from someone with no kids and no other pets...I think. What doesn everyone else think? Any experience of this? I want them BOTH to be happy, and I'm not prepared to compromise fattys happiness. I know If I got a kitten or something fatty would be all over it and theyd be best friends, I also know he's like to be friends with Grace,it's just not fair on him, or her. is there any hope here?

Importantly, tourism will rise tremendously & will create jobs for the locals, especially for those affected by reduction of cattle industry in that area. Hi, this last week i've joined the gym and been heavily researching on the Sport, the Diets etc and i think ive got a solid plan but i want confirmation so that it works. Im an 18 Year old guy standing at 6ft 5 (195cm) and weigh ~86kg, im looking to put on muscle without adding too much fat (i know its not gonna be no fat but minimal would be best so i dont have to cut as long) Im training 4 days a week as of next week (last week went 3 to introduce myself) doing a split routine and 5x5 training with warmup sets. I've worked out about 4000 calories a day to gain maybe 400 less on rest days depending on how busy I am, but my total exercise is the gym + walking to and from class/work, and work is walking roughly 2-3 hours solid. Ive built up a diet that is pretty clean and ive stuck to it perfectly past week, it includes Oatmeal,LF Yoghurt, Wholemeal Toast, Chicken, Lean Red Meat, Salmon, Brown Rice, Potatoes, large amounts of vegetables, Whey Protein, Skim Milk, Peanut Butter, Avocado's, Bananas, and some Powerade some days while i train. Im fairly confident this is a clean diet and i have split my eating up into 6-7 times daily 3 big meals (BF,Lunch,Din) and 3 smaller meals (pre/post w/o, pre bed, snacks). if i continue with this should i see some lean mass gains? Cheers peeps :) P.S. is it okay to have the occasional cheat meal if im out with friends, so long as i try to keep the fatty foods out etc ill have subway or nandos or sumthing rather than macdonalds which i dont really eat anyway (maccas, hj's are a huge turn off for me)

Only problem i see here is when people want to get wrist tattoos, they typically want it to be small. if you want detail on the roman numeral it's going to be bigger than what you want probably. I don't really have any ideas for colors other than maybe yellow like a canary since you grandpa checked for gas. He broke up with me almost a year ago and he never really left my life. We wanted different things. We have the same friends and his family and I are very close. So we sometimes run into each other. OK so I was at the beach like three months ago and I met this boy (his mother his my aunt's best friend) and at first I thought he was nice but then he started texting me and everything and that night I was at my house with my cousins and sister and he started texting my sister that he liked me a lot a lot but he said he couldn't say that because he had a girlfriend. She said "But you didn't tell them about the insurance!" "I haven't gotten there yet," I said. I continued my story. About a sentence and a half later, she busted in with some other detail I hadn't gotten to yet. She did this quite a few times, with me only getting about ten words in at a time, and each time I asked her if she would please stop and let me tell my story. After about the tenth interruption, I finally got to the point where I just threw a tantrum. I screamed at the top of my lungs, then said, "Oh my Lord, PLEASE. SHUT.
