Is it worth it to be a PASTRY chef?

Im about to go to a culinary school which is really expensive & i want to know if what i'm doing is right. What i'm most concerned is the lifestyle, for example i keep hearing that this industry is so stressful that you barely get to see you family & friends, also that divorces are common. If the pay is not that good, i dont mind because i really so love baking and being creative. So, are there any pastry chefs out there that are happy with their choice and have you lived a good life so far?
