Critique this beginning please?

Your main character kind of reminds me of me. I have stage fright too. When readers characters have things in commen then your most likey to get good feedback on your book. Although I did like your writing style, I found this part kind of boring. I wanted something intertsting to happen but it ended with the same thing as it started with. (Like you said people stared at me in the begning and near the end "I could feel all their eyes on me".
