Should I move out of Torrance, CA?

I moved to Torrance about 7 ago because I heard from many sources that the school district is wonderful, and it's a great place to raise children without any "interruptions" from the "element". 7 years in I'm starting to notice that this community is becoming more and more colorful and I'm worried that it will impact my children's learning. I'm start to see "element" everywhere I go now. If I wanted to raise my kids around these animals then I would have stayed in Los Angeles. At least there I was part of the world. I sacrificed everything and moved to what is essentially a horribly boring beige suburb where nothing important ever happens and this is how I get re-payed?? the minute I move here they follow me??? Everyone I talk to says to wait it out and that eventually they will leave. However, I'm worried that the opposite will happen. Them being here brings down the real estate value and that makes more of them come here. I'm worried. Can someone help? Should I leave now and cut my loses and go every further into the middle of nowhere, or stay and battle out the storm??
