How do I fix interruptions in downloading CDs into itunes?

Recently I have been having problems getting my CDs fully onto itunes. More frequently now, a song is only half downloaded before itunes moves onto the next one, even though it leaves the green check mark before the previous. This happens to completely random songs, and I'm curious as to what is causing it. Any ideas?
